Boxing Day is over, you have had it cold with the leftover stuffing and cranberry sauce. Let Marko show you some exciting, colourful ideas. Yes we will do a lovely spicy aromatic curry as well as some other comforting ideas.
Devilled turkey thigh. It’s Marko’s favourite part of the bird. You cut the meat into thick slices, smother each one both sides with Dijon mustard and horseradish mixed together. Fry them fast in butter and serve with mango chutney, baked potato and coleslaw.
Turkey Curry. Use both thigh and breast, madras curry paste, ginger, garlic, shallots, tomato puree and tinned. Finish off with turkey stock and coconut milk. Serve with basmati rice and typical Indian side dishes.
Turkey with a mushroom, sherry and crème fraiche sauce, so comforting, really easy to prepare. Best served with a simple Bubble and Squeak from the leftover sprouts and mashed potato.
Oriental Turkey Stirfry. Using both cuts of turkey cut into thinnish strips. We use thinly cut veg eg red pepper, mangetout, spring onion, garlic, courgette, carrot, ginger root, soy, turkey stock and coconut milk. A mass of colour and a great way to use up this tasty meat.
